What customers say?

“ While searching for a good pub in Oregon, that meets my high standards. I came across Oaks Bottom in Sellwood. Under new ownership, the atmosphere is a total positive vibe. I can tell all The food is hand crafted. The mozzarella sticks were fresh. The beer was amazing. I always get the bodega. Good times! There are TV screens Everywhere I looked. For Shizzle My Nizzle!! ”

“ Had a quick lunch here, three of us right when they opened. Super nice, welcoming and made us feel at home. Had there take on a Philly cheese steak……ya it was great. And also because it was as a work lunch break, they had some great NA beers. definitely coming here for lunch again. ”

“ A true neighborhood gem! This place has consistently great food and a solid selection of beers on tap. I heard they’ve brought on someone new to oversee the menu, and you can tell—there’s a real attention to detail and pride in quality. I had the wings with a dry rub and they were packed with flavor—some of the best I’ve had in Portland. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We caught a Final Four game here and had an awesome time. Highly recommend checking this spot out! ”

“ Three of us went to a late lunch there on a Wednesday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Friendly and fast service. The food was reasonably priced and ample portions. Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back next time we visit Portland. ”

“ Everything good. The only downgrade was the Cubano. Good sandwich, just a little on the greasy side. The clam chowder was excellent. Service good, too. Fun atmosphere. ”

- Jerry Orlando -

“ 1st time here. You can tell they care about their food and service. New owner is very focused on his customers and their experience. I will definitely come back! ”

“ We’ve been coming here for years and have always thought of it a solid pub where everyone in my family can find something to eat, which can be hard with young kids! It recently changed hands, which I think is an improvement overall. The pros: -consistent, good pub food with solid portion sizes -homy pub atmosphere -can usually find the game you’re trying to watch! -good service (better now than it was!) -both indoor and outdoor places to sit The cons: -it’s a bit pricy (but isn’t everything these days?) -the new shampoo-style plastic bottles they use for water. They’re pretty unappetizing -lack of a solid vegetarian salad option (my go-to squash salad was taken out of the rotation with the ownership change and replaced with a beet salad - it’s just not as tasty or flavorful. We’d honestly come way more often if there was a better option here.) We still go and the whole family generally really enjoys it - but with the salad change, we go less frequently than we used to. But that could just be an us problem! ”

“ Boy, oh boy, where do I even begin with this review? Let's just say that if you're looking for a new local favorite in the Sellwood area, this place is it! And the waiter with glasses, has to be an establishment favorite, am I right? He was more than just amazing, he was downright awesome! His customer service was off the charts, like an A+ and beyond! He was so friendly and professional and just radiated great energy! But let's get down to the nitty-gritty, the food. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a bun so soft you could probably use it as a pillow. As for the chicken club, it was good, but unfortunately the bacon was cooked too crispy as it had the crunch of a potato chip and the truffle fries were a bit overcooked as well. Hey, these things happen, but don't worry, it was still an enjoyable experience and meal. And next time, we'll just have to make sure to communicate that we don't want our food to be cooked as long. Overall, we'll definitely be back for more! Who knows, maybe the waiter will even remember us and give us an extra dose of that amazing energy! ”
